Tonight after dinner, Jamie and I were sitting around the table chatting while Aiden was beating the mess out of his toy guitar/violin. Here's how the conversation went:
Aiden: Can I have an after dinner snack for eating all of my food?
Me: No
Aiden: Don't make me spank you with a switch.
(okay, where did he get that from? Never in my like have I made a statement like that to him! But he did say it in good fun)
Jamie: You don't even know what a switch is.
Aiden: Uh huh. You turn it on and off like this. Off went the lights.
Okay, maybe it's one of those 'you had to be there' things. But we laughed for the longest time.

- I’m the mom of an incredible son who is filled with spunk and spirit. He brings laughter into my life on a daily basis. My baby’s daddy, aka the husband, is an amazingly patient man, for which I don’t give him enough credit. I spend most of my days as a social worker and my nights are spent discussing the parallel universe of superheroes and storm troopers with a six year old and sci-fi lovin’ husband. I aspire to learn the techniques of photography and of great cooks, to make amazing memories with family, and to one day to see the world.
